Megan was born and raised in Houston and is proud to be a 5th generation Texan.  Megan came from humble beginnings.  While both her parents often worked long days, six days a week, they poured their love into their three children while teaching them the value of hard work, integrity and the importance of family.  Learning at a very young age to always reach for the stars, Megan knew she wanted to become an attorney and to serve her community.  Megan graduated from the University of Alabama and received her undergraduate degree in three years and her law degree in two years, a testament to her impeccable work ethic.

Megan’s passion for helping young people began during her time as a camp counselor and mentoring at-risk youth through AIDS Foundation Houston. Many of these youth were living in poverty or below the poverty line, and most had been involved in the juvenile justice system. Megan provided guidance, support, and encouragement, helping them navigate difficult circumstances. She is proud to have maintained lasting friendships and continues to mentor some of these young people today.

Immediately after graduating law school, Megan began working for a high-estate family divorce firm in downtown Houston. After gaining an invaluable amount of skill and knowledge, Megan and her husband decided to step into the world of solo-practice and build their business and family here in Montgomery County. It is important to Megan to raise her children in a community she practices law in because she feels that her own values should be mirrored in the community where she is raising her children.

Megan’s diverse experience in the courtroom and her management of a successful local business, Eggs Up Grill, in Conroe, Texas, reflects her ability to lead and manage resources efficiently—a quality she will bring to County Court 6 as a fiscally responsible judge.

You will often find Megan out in the community.  She has been asked to speak at numerous events and is proud to have spoken at professional events to include the National Association of Real Property Management and The Woodlands County Bar Association.

Megan has also been entrusted with the role of moderator for several past political forums in Montgomery County to include the Southwest Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce Mayoral Election Forum, Magnolia Republican Club Court of Appeals Election Forum and the Magnolia Republican Club Sheriff Election Forum. She leads by example and has always advocated for and encouraged as many people as possible to become actively involved in their  community. She will also tell you she could not have been more excited to serve as the emcee for the Southwest Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade and introduce Santa Clause to ring in the season.

Above any title, Megan is most proud of being a mom to a beautiful two year old daughter. Megan met her husband Kyle in law school in 2014. The family attends church at Restoration in Woodforest, while giving monthly to St. Anthony of Padua’s pantry. Megan, Kyle and their daughter Kennedy live in Magnolia, Texas with their 3 dogs.
